I Sea It's Your Birthday!

My hubby had a birthday this past weekend and this is the card I made for him.  I used stamps from Gina K. Designs' Just Keep Swimming set.  The background was embossed using Spellbinders' Sea Beauty M-bossabilities embossing folder and then I airbrushed the background using Copic markers.  The sea life was colored using Copic markers, cut out and popped up on foam tape.  The sentiment was cut out using Spellbinder's Fancy Framed Tags One die set and mounted using starfish brads.

Thanks for looking!

Happy Birthday, Rose!

Hello!  Remember me?  I finally have a post for my poor, neglected little blog!

I needed a birthday card for my mother's 92nd birthday, which was yesterday, so I decided to play along with this week's sketch challenge over at Card Positioning Systems (CPS282).  Years ago a group of my mother's friends nicknamed her Rose because she always comes up smelling like a rose, so I like to use roses in the cards I make for her.

For this card, I used My Favorite Things' Pure Innocence Rose set and My Mind's Eye's Howdy Doody papers. I paper pieced her dress and colored the image using Copic markers.  I added a little Glossy Accents to the flowers, her barrette, the heart on her dress and her shoes.

For the inside, I used a funny sentiment from DRS Designs and  I stamped the PI Rose image again, in a light beige ink.

Thanks for stopping by!
