PPRS March Sketch Challenge and C4C129

I made a card for this month's sketch challenge over at Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps and my card is also for this week's Crazy 4 Challenges (C4C129) challenge, which is to use owls on your card, and the Paper Dolls' Challenge #46 - Spring Bling

I used images from Prickley Pear's Birdcage set and also used the coordinating Birdcage die.  I stamped the birdcage using Versamark ink and embossed it with gold embossing powder.  I hung the birdcage from the limb from the set and added a bunch of pink rhinestones to the flower centers and the feet of the cage.  The owl is popped up on a foam square.

The sentiment I used for the inside is from Impression Obsession and I used a little scrap of the patterned paper to finish it off.

Berry Sweet of You!

I have a cute little thank you card to show you today.  The main image is from My Favorite Things' Pure Innocence Berry Sweet set. It was colored using Copic markers and her dress was paper pieced.  The patterned papers are from October Afternoon's Fly a Kite collection and the mat layer was made using an Oval Decorative Doily die. The border strips on the horizontal layer were made using the Faux Crochet Border die.

For the inside, I created the sentiment combination using the Layered Label Die set with scraps of the patterned papers from the card front.  I paired it with a Spellbinder's Grommet Tags die and added a couple of red Swarovski crystals.  My card fits for this week's Crazy 4 Challenges C4C124 challenge, which is to use stripes and polka dots.  It also fits for this week's sketch challenge (MFTWSC60) over at My Favorite Things.

Crazy4Challenges - Holiday Heat Embossing

Happy Saturday!  Outlines is sponsoring today's challenge over at Crazy4Challenges.  The challenge is: "The holiday season is heating up! Create something today for an upcoming holiday and incorporate heat embossing in your creation.".  A great incentive to get started on those holiday cards!

I used Tree Square Sm (B-329) and Wreath Square Sm. (B-337) for my card.  I stamped each image twice using Versarmark and the heat embossed using colored embossing powders.  The patterned papers are from Jillibean Soups' Christmas Eve Chowder collection and the ribbon is from Stampin UP!.

We would love for you  to play along - you could win a $25 gift certificate from Outlines!  So please head on over to Crazy4Challenges for the rules for playing along and to see the great cards the Crazy4Challenges design team has made using Outlines' stamps!

Some of my fellow Outlines design team members have also made sample cards for the challenge, so be sure you check them out, too!

RI SOTW - Bunny Hop!

This week's Stamp of the Week from Repeat Impressions is this sweet Bunny Hop (4215-I) image. Perfect for Easter, especially when paired with the fun Hoppy Easter (1303-E) sentiment!  To make the grass, I inked up just the grass portion of the Wild Violets (1706-I) image, although Wendy has a great grass border (1507-J) stamp that I need to get my hands on!  I added some additional grass blades using a green Copic marker and the sky was airbrushed using two different blue Copic markers.

I matched the image with some adorable Flower Patch paper from Making Memories.  The layout for my card is from this week's Crazy 4 Challenges C4C77 sketch challenge, hosted by my buddy Silke Ledlow.

Please head over to The House That Stamps Built to check out the cards the rest of the design team has made using Bunny Hop and to find out how you can order it for half price this week only!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great week and be sure to come back on Wednesday for another Repeat Impressions sketch challenge!

Belli Challenge #82 - Glitter!

Welcome to another Creative Belli Challenge Wednesday! Today's challenge is to use glitter or rhinestones - anything shiny and blingy! - on your project! Please be sure to check out all the great projects from the rest of the design team over on the Belli Blog.

Once again, I've got this one covered!! I used a new toy, the bird Nestabilities dies, to cut the two birds out of Grungepaper. I painted them with Making Memories Manila paint and then topped that with a coat of Shimmerz Angel Wings for my first layer of sparkle. When they were dry, I painted a layer of glue on the smaller one and covered it with some Martha Stewart Snow Glitter. I dabbed the larger bird with my Versamark pad and covered it with Powder Keg's Glue Powder. I heated it and then sprinkled on some Powder Keg White Pearl embossing powder and heated again to set it.

The background paper is SEI Love Birds and the stamps for the sentiment and the polka dots are from Papertrey Ink. The twill is from Stampin UP! and the crochet trim is from Hobby Lobby. The rhinestone brads are from American Crafts and the rhinestone hearts are from Amuse.

This card covers several challenges (so many of our Belli Challenge participants combine multiple challenges for their entries - it's rubbing off on me!!):

Caardvarks - sketch
Crazy 4 Challenges - use polka dots
Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge (SSNOTIME120) - use something new (the bird Nestabilities and heart shaped rhinestones)

Thanks for looking, and if you decide to play along, be sure that if you post to SCS or PCP or any other online gallery, add your link to Mr. Linky over on today's Belli blog post and use keyword CBC82 so we can find it.
