Happy Day

Today I have a card I made for this week's sketch challenge over at My Favorite Things (MFTWSC71). I used Pure Innocence Purrfect for the focal image, which I paper pieced and colored using Copic markers.  The tag, sentiment and heart are from the Notched Tag Die & Stamp set.  The patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye's Lost and Found Blush collection.

For the inside, I cut a strip of the patterned paper using a Martha Stewart punch and added a sentiment.

My Nonexistent Stamping Life

This card is a perfect example of how sad my stamping life has become - I started it 10 days ago and just finished it this morning.  Work has been incredibly busy and we have had other obligations over the weekends lately so I just haven't had any time.

I intended to enter it in three different challenges, all of which have now closed - CTD188 (color challenge), PPA133 (sketch) and C4C133 (make it pop with black card stock).  Oh well, I will still be able to use it for its primary purpose, which is a thank you note to a good friend.

It qualifies for this week's challenge over at Crazy 4 Challenges(C4C134), which calls for paper piecing.  My owl is paper pieced and its wings are popped up on foam squares.

The stamps I used are from There She Goes You're a Hoot set and Impression Obsession Owl Be Thankful set (sentiment).  The patterned papers are from BasicGrey's Green at Heart collection.

Stitched Thanks

Today I have a thank you card that I made recently using images from Papertrey Ink's Stitches and Swirls set.  The image was colored and airbrushed using Copic markers. The sentiment is from the Mega Mixed Messages set.

The patterned papers are from Memory Box and the corner punch is Victorian Lace from EK Success.  For the inside I used some scraps from the patterned papers and stamped another of the stitched flower images in grey ink.

Happy Birthday and Many Mower!

Today I have a card I made for the current sketch challenge over at My Favorite Things (MFTWSC66).  The image and sentiment are from the Who's That Guy I Love You Mower set.  The image was colored with Copic Markers and cut out.  I used a grass border punch on a strip of grass paper and nestled the mower in the blades.  The red pane was cut using MFT's Perfect Bracket Edge.

The patterned papers are from Pink Paislee's Hometown Summer collection.  The clouds were die cut out of My Favorite Felt Puff White.  Finished card size is 5 1/2" square.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!  This is a fairly quick Easter card made using La Blanche's Rabbit and Flowers image.  The stamp is so detailed that I didn't need to do a lot of coloring on the rabbit, just on the flowers.  The lattice border was made using the largest of the Spellbinders Lattice Rectangles dies and I made the card base smaller than the stamped panel so it wouldn't show from the front.  The image was colored using Copic markers and the background was airbrushed.

Hope you are enjoying some lovely Spring weather, wherever you are!

Just So Sweet (MFTWSC65)

Good Monday morning!  I made a quick card yesterday to play along with this week's sketch challenge over at My Favorite Things (MFTWSC65).  I used Pure Innocence Fresh from the Oven set for my images and Melissa Frances Kitchen Kitchsy papers.

Her chef outfit and bowl were paper pieced and her body and shoes were colored with Copic markers.  I used a little silicone adhesive behind her toque to make it poof out a little at the top.

PPRS March Sketch Challenge and C4C129

I made a card for this month's sketch challenge over at Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps and my card is also for this week's Crazy 4 Challenges (C4C129) challenge, which is to use owls on your card, and the Paper Dolls' Challenge #46 - Spring Bling

I used images from Prickley Pear's Birdcage set and also used the coordinating Birdcage die.  I stamped the birdcage using Versamark ink and embossed it with gold embossing powder.  I hung the birdcage from the limb from the set and added a bunch of pink rhinestones to the flower centers and the feet of the cage.  The owl is popped up on a foam square.

The sentiment I used for the inside is from Impression Obsession and I used a little scrap of the patterned paper to finish it off.

PTI March Blog Hop

Today I decided to play along in Papertrey Ink's March Blog Hop.  My card also fits with The Paper Dolls' Challenge #46 - Spring Bling.
The challenge was to make a Spring card using yellow and aqua and this photo for our inspiration.  My card base is Aqua Mist, the yellow patterned paper is from October Afternoon Thrift Shop and the aqua patterned paper is from Papertrey Ink's Pretty Pastels collection.  I used the Filigree Border die for my mat layer and the stamps are from Take Three - Spring.  The ribbon is PTI's Harvest Gold satin.

In keeping with his reputation as the Glitter King, my husband suggested that I add the rhinestone for the bunnies' eyes, and I think he was right!

Happy Birthday, Wendy!

Today is the birthday of Wendy Wyman, the owner of Repeat Impressions Rubber Stamps and I am honored to participate in a celebration blog hop along with current and former Repeat Impressions design team members.  Happy Birthday, Wendy!  Hope you have a GREAT day!

Since Wendy is a fellow wine lover, I used 1504-O, Grapevine Border, some tissue paper and double sided tape to make homemade Washi tape.  I paired it up with some Laura Ashley grapevine paper, a grape button and 1113-D, Birthday for the sentiment.

For the inside I added this fun champagne bottle image (3811-H, Champagne Bottle), colored with Copic markers and matted on a layer of purple vellum.

Here is a list of all the blog hop participants and their blog addresses:

Please be sure to make your way to each of their blogs to check out their fun cards and birthday wishes for Wendy!  When you get to Cheri's blog you will see the fun book with all of our cards that she put together for Wendy! And if you are on Facebook, why don't you stop by Repeat Impressions Facebook Page and wish Wendy a happy birthday there, too!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great weekend!

Life is a Cabernet!

Happy Friday!  Today I have a birthday card that I made for a fellow wine lover who currently resides in the South of France among many picturesque wineries, so this image seemed perfect for her!  The scene image is from Stampendous and was colored and airbrushed using Copic markers.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.  Have a wonderful weekend!

FTTC159 - Happy Birthday!

This is a birthday card I made for one of the men in my family and it fits this week's Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC159) over at Flourishes, which is to use at least 3 colors from the inspiration photo.  I used the rust, kraft, black and yellow.

I used the Mix-n-Mugs set and paper pieced the mug using some of the Canvas Corp. background paper.  The seam between my patterned papers was covered with some measuring tape twill.

I ran the mat panel through a wood grain embossing folder and brushed some brown ink across it to resemble a piece of wood.  The tools were colored using Copic markers and a silver paint pen.  I affixed the sentiment panel using some screw conchos and a washer made from silver paper.

Hello! Today I have a card for this week's sketch challenge over at My Favorite Things (MFTWSC61).   I turned the sketch vertical and used the Pure Innocence Paper Dolls set.

The image was colored using Copic markers and paired with papers from Basic Grey's Blush collection.  For the inside, I used the Framed Greetings Die and Stamp set to create the sentiment panel and then added a sentiment from the More Essential Sentiments set.  I popped the sentiment up on a Spellbinders' Labels Eighteen panel.
