Happy Wednesday! My card today is for Repeat Impressions' first Designer's Choice Challenge (DCC), which is to make a Scenic card; and for this week's Belli Challenge, which is 'Think Seamstress' (stitching, buttons, seam tape, pins, etc...). It was definitely a challenge to combine those two challenges!
The images I used are Portland Head Light (1401-P) and Rebecca (708-K) and Thinking of You (8611-E) for my sentiment. The papers are from BasicGrey's Lucky collection, which is really old! The layout is based on this week's Crazy 4 Challenges sketch challenge, although I twisted and turned it quite a bit!
For the 'Think Seamstress' challenge, I made an outfit for Rebecca! It's paper pieced, but still... ;-) I also used an itty, bitty button on her dress and used a Spica marker to add some faux stitching around my sentiment. That's the closest this girl gets to being a seamstress!
Please be sure to check out the rest of the Belli design team's Think Seamstress cards by heading over to the Belli Challenge blog and while you're there you can get the details for playing along with us. Also make sure that you take a gander at the great scenic cards the rest of the Repeat Impressions' design team has created for our Designer's Choice Challenge over at The House That Stamps Built, and while you're at it, check out the rules for playing along with us on our Scenic challenge!

Outlines - Easter
This week's Outlines Design Team Challenge is to make an Easter card. I used this adorable Bunny Tail (F-933) image and colored it using Copic markers and Pearl Pens for the flowers (Light Blue, Turquoise, Salmon and Copper). I used Polar White Flower Soft for the bunny's tail and added Meadow Flower Soft for the grassy area. I also added a little Crystal Lacquer to the butterfly.
The layout for my card is from Fuzzy Wuzzy's current sketch challenge and the color scheme is from this week's Color Throwdown (Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Marina Mist).
Please be sure to hop on by the rest of the Outlines Design Team members' blogs to see the Easter cards they have created:

RI Sketch Challenge - Violets
It's time for another Repeat Impressions sketch challenge for you this week! For my card, I used the Wild Violets (1706-I) image and paired it with some Memory Box Enchanted patterned papers. I colored the violets with Copic markers and used a Lilac Pearl Paint Pen to create the dots around the border of the focal image.
Please be sure to check out the wonderful cards that the rest of the design team has created using this sketch over at The House That Stamps Built! While you're there you can find the details for playing along with us on this sketch challenge. You might even win a Repeat Impressions gift certificate!

RI SOTW - Celebrate Spring!
This week's Stamp of the Week from Repeat Impressions is Celebrate Spring (3908-I) - such a cheerful image! I colored directly on the stamp with markers and then stamped the image. I added some Flower Soft to the flowers and used a Viva Decor Peach Pearl Paint Pen to create the dots around the border of the focal image.
The patterned paper for my background is from Making Memories' Flower Patch collection and the green polka dot paper is from Bo Bunny's Double Dot collection. Pretty simple, but happy, card to celebrate Spring now that it's FINALLY here!
Please hop on over to The House That Stamps Built to check out the rest of the design team's Celebrate Spring cards!

Outlines - Spring!
Good Monday morning! This week's Outlines Design Team challenge is to make a Spring themed card. When I think of Spring I think of pastels, especially Robin's egg blue! For my card, I used Butterfly Square Large (E-519) and stamped it five times. The base layer of the focal image was stamped using Memento Rich Cocoa and all the other images were stamped using VersaColor Celadon and then heat embossed with clear powder. I used the center portion of three images for the three square elements on the right side of my card and cut the butterfly out of the last one and popped it up on top of my focal image.
My patterned papers are from Kaisercraft's Secret Bird Society 6x6 pad and I colored my image using Pebbles Shimmerz chalks and a Dove blender pen. I added Light Rose Swarovski crystals (sizes 7 and 12) to the border and Light Green Pearl Paint pen to the butterfly's body and spots.
Please be sure to check out the Spring themed cards from the rest of the design team:

Belli Challenge #113 - 'C' card and RI CASE Challenge - Karen
Happy Wednesday! This is another combination Belli Challenge and Repeat Impressions CASE card. The Belli Challenge for this week is to make a project using something with the letter C. My 'C' items are Cat and CASE!
Here is the card we are CASEing, made by fellow Repeat Impressions Design Team member, Karen Hasheck. I stamped my cat image directly on a Websters' Pages die cut with a curved bottom edge, similar to Karen's card. I also used the same basic layout, although my die cut measures 6x6, which is quite a bit larger than Karen's patterned paper layer. I ruched some olive green seam binding for the horizontal and vertical elements and added a button/bow combo in the corner. The image was colored with Copic markers.
Please be sure to head over to the Belli Challenge blog to see all the wonderful 'C' cards the rest of the team has made and to find out how you can play along with us.
Also make sure you stop over at The House That Stamps Built to see how the rest of the team CASEd Karen's card!

Outlines - Go Green!
This week's Outlines' Design Team challenge is Go Green - Green is our theme color in honor of St. Patrick's Day, but it doesn't have to be a St. Patrick's Day card. So mine is definitely green, but not St. Patrick's Day! I used Bunny Tail (F-933), which happens to be on sale this week for 20% off! I added the Busy Bee Sm. (A-83) in the upper right corner of the Bunny Tail image.
My sentiment is the bottom half of Friends Fur-ever (B-1080), which I just colored with an olive green marker and stamped without the Friends fur-ever portion of the sentiment. Although I guess it would have been appropriate with this image, I wanted the focus on the Bunny Tail image and didn't want the sentiment to be that large.
The bunny image was stamped three times and I used the whole bunny for the second layer, popped up with foam tape, and then cut out just the tail and the collar with the flower and popped them up on foam tape, along with the butterfly. The tail is Liquid Applique and the collar has Olivine Swarovski Crystals for the polka dots (size 7) and in the center of the flower (size 12). My flowers are 'colored' using Viva Decor Pearl Paint Pens - I love those darn things! I just stocked up on about a dozen colors! Here I used two combinations: Salmon with Bronze and Lilac with Violet. I also used the Lilac pen instead of brads for the sentiment label.
Please be sure to visit the rest of the design team members' blogs to see their green creations!

RI Sketch Challenge - Little Birdie
We are having another sketch challenge over at the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built. For my card, I used one of my favorite RI sets - Little Birdie Swing Stamp set (8301-U). I didn't make a swing card using it, I just stamped the first image on the front of my card and the 'punchline' image on the inside:
I love the expression on that mischievous kitty's face!
Please stop over at The House That Stamps Built to see the great cards that the rest of the design team made for this challenge. While you're there, be sure to get the sketch and the rules for playing along for a chance to win some Repeat Impressions stamps!

RI SOTW - Bunny Hop!
This week's Stamp of the Week from Repeat Impressions is this sweet Bunny Hop (4215-I) image. Perfect for Easter, especially when paired with the fun Hoppy Easter (1303-E) sentiment! To make the grass, I inked up just the grass portion of the Wild Violets (1706-I) image, although Wendy has a great grass border (1507-J) stamp that I need to get my hands on! I added some additional grass blades using a green Copic marker and the sky was airbrushed using two different blue Copic markers.
I matched the image with some adorable Flower Patch paper from Making Memories. The layout for my card is from this week's Crazy 4 Challenges C4C77 sketch challenge, hosted by my buddy Silke Ledlow.
Please head over to The House That Stamps Built to check out the cards the rest of the design team has made using Bunny Hop and to find out how you can order it for half price this week only!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week and be sure to come back on Wednesday for another Repeat Impressions sketch challenge!
Outlines - Seahorse
This week's challenge for the Outlines Design Team is Lots of Layers, with a Product Focus on Smooch paints. I layered up my card with varying shades of blue papers that I cut using a ric-rac edge punch to make waves at the bottom (seven layers there!). Next I stamped the seahorse section from Split Layering Collage - Splash (H-796) twice and cut out the seahorse image and popped it up with foam tape, then layered it on three mat layers (that's five layers there!). The image was colored with Copic markers, except for the dark teal fins and spots, which were painted with Smooch Ocean Soul. I also painted a little Smooch Top Coat in the white portion of the eye. If you haven't used Smooch paints yet, you should pick up a bottle - it has a very fine tip that makes it easy to get into small spots, plus it adds a nice shimmer!
The seahorse patterned paper is matted on shimmery silver card stock and then on top of navy blue shimmer card stock (that's three more layers!). I added a few drops of light blue and silver Pearl Paint Pen in the fins and tail. Here's a close up so you can see all those layers!
Please be sure to check out the multi-layered creations from the rest of the design team:

Belli Challenge #112 - Animals and RI CASE Challenge - Harriet
Greetings! Today the card I am sharing is another Belli Challenge and Repeat Impressions CASE challenge combination. This week's Belli Challenge is Animals and over at Repeat Impressions we are CASEing a card by design team member Harriet Skelly. Harriet had a butterfly panel on her card, so I created a similar panel on mine using a butterfly image, along with the bird and dragonfly, all from Repeat Impressions. I also used the same color scheme and layout as Harriet's card. The postcard text backgrounder and sentiment are also from Repeat Impressions. I included a dragonfly charm on the sentiment panel and added a butterfly charm and button to my bow.
Please be sure to stop over at the Belli Challenge to see what the rest of the design team has created using animals as their theme and to find out how you can participate in the challenge.
You should also stop by The House That Stamps Built to check out what the rest of the design team has created using Harriet's card for their inspiration and you can get all the details for participating in the CASE challenge for a chance to win a gift certificate!
