Happy Birthday, Rose!

Hello!  Remember me?  I finally have a post for my poor, neglected little blog!

I needed a birthday card for my mother's 92nd birthday, which was yesterday, so I decided to play along with this week's sketch challenge over at Card Positioning Systems (CPS282).  Years ago a group of my mother's friends nicknamed her Rose because she always comes up smelling like a rose, so I like to use roses in the cards I make for her.

For this card, I used My Favorite Things' Pure Innocence Rose set and My Mind's Eye's Howdy Doody papers. I paper pieced her dress and colored the image using Copic markers.  I added a little Glossy Accents to the flowers, her barrette, the heart on her dress and her shoes.

For the inside, I used a funny sentiment from DRS Designs and  I stamped the PI Rose image again, in a light beige ink.

Thanks for stopping by!

Very sweet! Such a neat job with that CPS sketch and those really cute stamps.
