RI Sketch Challenge

Happy Wednesday! It is once again time for a 'What If? Wednesday' sketch challenge from Repeat Impressions. I used another of the fun Christmas penguin images for my card. This little bugger, swinging from a wreath, is just so cute! I covered the wreath portion of the image with some green Flower Soft and added a few red nailhead stickers to look like ornaments. I added a bow, made using the Bow Easy, and then cut out the little penguin and popped him up on foam squares in front of the ribbon. His beak and feet were colored using a yellow Spica marker.

The background of the image panel was sponged with Riding Hood Red ink. I paper pieced his hat with the same plaid paper I used for the square shaped panel and then added some Liquid Applique to his hat.  The main background paper is from Cosmo Cricket's Jolly by Golly 6x6 pad, the plaid and the flourish strips are scraps from my stash.

If you would like to play along with us and make a project using this week's sketch, you could win a $25 gift certificate from Repeat Impressions!  You have two weeks (until Tuesday, Oct 19th) to participate.  Please be sure to head over to today's post on The House That Stamps Built for the details on the sketch challenge and to see the wonderful cards the rest of the design team members have made using this sketch!

Thanks for stopping by!
