Today is our 26th wedding anniversary and this is the card I whipped up for Tim. The bunnies, sentiment and scalloped circle border stamps are from Papertrey Ink (Daily Designs and Daily Designs Sentiments). For the second card in a row, no patterned paper was used in the making of this card! The background image is Impression Obsession's Ornate Floral Cover-A-Card stamp, which I stamped using SU Riding Hood Red. AND I found a way to incorporate a little satin ribbon on a guy card by running it through the scalloped circle mat and a heart shaped ribbon slide!
This card qualifies for the current Papertrey Paper Dolls challenge #38, which is to make a wedding or anniversary card.

RI SOTW - Birdhouse
Hello! It's time to showcase another Repeat Impressions Stamp of the Week! This week's special is on this Birdhouse (4317-E) image. I used patterned papers from My Little Shoebox Whoo Loves You collection with the Birdhouse image, which I colored to match. I cut a strip of some Stampin' UP wood paper for the post the birdhouse is sitting on. I added Tiny Bird (flight) (2617-D) in the upper right and stamped just the Celebrate portion of Celebrate Life (8403-E) on the smaller paper panel using an Old Olive marker.
The layout of my card is from the current sketch challenge going on over at Repeat Impressions - be sure to check out the details for that contest if you'd like to play along! This card also qualifies for this week's Color Throwdown #143 challenge.
Please be sure to head over to The House That Stamps Built to see the great cards the rest of the team made using the Birdhouse image and to find out how you can get this great stamp for 50% off!

Outlines - Black & White with a Pop of Color!
Good Monday morning and Happy Memorial Day! This week's Outlines Challenge is a color challenge - black, white and a pop of color! I used robin's egg blue and teal for my pop of color. I also tried a new technique - I painted Ocean Soul Smooch directly on the Heart Butterfly (F-58) and Script Happy Birthday (C-1050) stamps instead of using ink. I also painted Frosted Aqua, Top Coat and Ocean Soul Smooch on the butterfly to color it and added Turquoise Pearl Pen and Viva Glass Effect Gel on the dots, antennae, body and hearts of the butterfly. Finally, unusual for me, no patterned paper was used in the making of this card! Inspiration Background (K-233) was stamped using Versafine Onyx Black to make the background layer.
Please be sure to head over to the Outlines blog to get the details for participating in the challenge - you could win a $25 shopping spree in the Outlines Store!! Also make sure you head over to each design team member's blog to check out their creations!

Outlines - Make it Manly
It's time for a new Outlines challenge today, and starting this week it's no longer just a design team challenge! We are opening up the weekly challenges to those of you who would like to participate! This week's challenge is Make it Manly - Father’s Day is June 19th, so make a masculine themed card, does not have to be specifically Father’s Day – just masculine.
I created a gift card holder using Gift Card Holder - Guy (I-924) and paired it up with Karen Foster Ties, Ties, Ties paper. I color the ties in the stamped image with Copic markers and tried to match the ones on the patterned paper. I added some Clear Viva Glass Effect to the red dots. I stamped Tiny Happy Dad's Day (AA-869) in the upper right corner, right on the patterned paper.
Please be sure to head over to the Outlines blog to get the details for participating in the new challenge and also make sure you head over to each design team member's blog to check out their masculine creations!

The image was colored using Copic markers and the backgrounds of both stamped panels were sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink. The patterned papers are from the Kitschy Kitchen 6x6 paper pad by Melissa Frances and the measuring spoon charm is from Alpha Stamps.

Outlines - Florals
It's Monday, which means it's time for another Outlines Design Team challenge, and this week our challenge is Focus on Florals. For my floral card, I used Clematis Medium (E-111), which I stamped twice on patterned papers from SEI's Corinne 6x6 pad and layered. I also added some Viva Pearl Pen (Salmon and Lt. Blue) to the dots in Clematis image and finished it off with a dragonfly brad in the center.
I also used Clematis Leaf Medium (E-112) and Stem (B-385), which I stamped on paper from Kaisercraft Secret Bird Society. Finally, I stamped Script Thank You (B-1054) using Versamark ink and embossed with orange embossing powder.
Please be sure to stop by the rest of the Outlines' Design Team members' blogs to see the floral cards they have created:

Outlines - Buttons!
This week's challenge for the Outlines' Design Team is to use Buttons on our cards. That's not too hard for me - I use buttons on most of my cards! I selected Round Posy Small (E-1040) (which happens to be on sale for 20% off!) and Round Posy Medium (E-1039) and paper pieced them both using SEI's Corinne papers. I also paper pieced the Stems (B-385) and Clematis Leaf Medium (B-112). The sentiment is Script Thank You (B-1054). The buttons for the flower centers are from Crate Papers Flea Market collection.
Please be sure to stop by the rest of the Outlines' Design Team members' blogs to see the button cards they have created:

RI Sketch Challenge - Lily of the Valley
Today we are starting another Repeat Impressions sketch challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. For my card, I selected the Lily of the Valley image and paired it with Pink Paislee's Butterfly Garden papers and butterfly charm. I made my Lily of the Valley (4308-J) a peachy-pink to match the papers. For the horizontal element, I layered an olive/pink striped ribbon on top of some cream seam binding and then tied a double bow with the seam binding. The image was colored and airbrushed using Copic markers.
Please be sure to make your way over to The House That Stamps Built to find the sketch and the rules for playing along, as well as to see the wonderful cards the rest of the team has made using the sketch!

Outlines - Round the Corner!
This week's challenge for the Outlines' Design Team is Round the Corner - no sharp corners allowed! I used several of the new Serendipity series stamps on my card - Wild Flowers (G-1155), Thumper (C-1175) and
Lilly and Layla (F-1181), although I only used one of the two butterflies in the image and I don't know whether it's Lilly or Layla....
The patterned papers are from SEI's Corinne collection and I colored my images to match using Copic markers. For Thumper's tail, I used Liquid Applique and I colored her flower using Frosted Aqua and Ocean Soul Smooch, and then I put a dab of Turquoise Viva Decor Pearl Pen in the center of the flower and dropped a size 12 Aquamarine Swarovski crystal in the center. I used a Light Blue Viva Decor Pearl Pen to make the dots around the Script Happy Birthday (C-1050). All of the corners of the card are rounded, in keeping with the challenge and I cut the top edge of the green paper using a grass border punch so there would be no sharp corners on my layers.
Please be sure to stop by the rest of the Outlines' Design Team members' blogs to see the rounded corner cards they have created:
