Outlines - Black & White with a Pop of Color!

Good Monday morning and Happy Memorial Day! This week's Outlines Challenge is a color challenge - black, white and a pop of color! I used robin's egg blue and teal for my pop of color. I also tried a new technique - I painted Ocean Soul Smooch  directly on the Heart Butterfly (F-58) and Script Happy Birthday (C-1050) stamps instead of using ink. I also painted Frosted Aqua, Top Coat and Ocean Soul Smooch on the butterfly to color it and added Turquoise Pearl Pen and Viva Glass Effect Gel on the dots, antennae, body and hearts of the butterfly.  Finally, unusual for me, no patterned paper was used in the making of this card!  Inspiration Background (K-233) was stamped using Versafine Onyx Black to make the background layer.

Please be sure to head over to the Outlines blog to get the details for participating in the challenge - you could win a $25 shopping spree in the Outlines Store!!  Also make sure you head over to each design team member's blog to check out their creations!

Your card is gorgeous! I have never used that stamp as just a background. why? who knows. I love the color combination and how you painted the butterfly.
