Seize the Cupcake!

This card is a two-fer - I made it for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge using my Krafty Kats kit. The Krafty Kats is the stamp group that I get together with each month and we take turns putting together a kit of supplies and the following month when we get together, we do show-and-tell of what we made using the materials from the prior month's kit. The theme of last month's kit was food, so this cherry paper worked out perfectly for Taylor's challenge.

The cupcake was stamped once on white paper and again on the striped paper. I cut out the cupcake liner from the striped paper and pieced it on top of the one stamped on the white paper. The frosting is a combination of two colors of Glazed Dimension. The cherry was also stamped on white paper and 'colored' in with Glazed Dimension then cut out and adhered to the top of the cupcake.

The faux stitching along the borders of the striped paper was done using the zig zag stitch stamp from Sassafras Lass Stitched Borders set. That's the only way this girl will be doing any 'sewing' on her cards!

Thanks for stopping by. I'm feeling a bit under the weather - I came down with a sore throat yesterday and it hit me hard last night as we were driving home from having dinner with some friends for Tim's birthday, which is today. I'm sipping on some tea at the moment and about to head back to bed. Hope you're having a better Monday than I am!
