This week's challenge for the Outlines design team is to use Metallic Paint. As you might have figured out, I used Gold Metallic Paint. ;-) This paint is really fun to work with and there are a lot of possibilities for it. I have previously used it on this card and this card.
I painted the Inspiration Background (K-233) and Thanks (C-261) images with the metallic paint, then stamped them on black card stock. The paint washes off the rubber easily with a little water and a gentle scrub with a toothbrush. I layered the Thanks on a chipboard flourish that was also colored with the metallic paint. I accented the corners of the Thanks image and the flourish with some Light Colorado Topaz crystals. I wrapped black and gold ribbon around the center, tied a bow with the gold ribbon, then mounted the whole thing on a black panel.
Please be sure to check out the cards the rest of the design team made using Metallic Paint:
Bev Gerard - Savor the Journey
Jeanne Streiff - Inky Paws
Jenny Gropp - One Krafty Kat
Lisa Silver - Silver Stamping
Sandy Hulsart - Creative Moments with Sandy
Vicki Garrett - Summerthyme Studio
Thanks for stopping by!

This really has a shabby chic cool factor element. Kind of old world vintage gold. Me likey.
Oh, pretty, Robin. Love the gold and black as much as I love Jenny's silver and black. This paint is just too much fun.
This is truly amazing! So rich and elegant! This would make a great color scheme for an anniversary or a special birthday too! Love it!
